MORE ABOUT ME…
You could say I’ve got a travel bug — always have. Growing up in Sabah, my family was always taking road trips for one vacation or another. It was really a slideshow that my late father, the oil king of Sabah (no shit!), gave when I was eight that locked it in. Images of misty jungles, roiling whitewater, and toothless smiles the world over gave me an itch for travel I’ve been trying to reach ever since.
During my university days in Sydney I took time off to visit different parts of Australia, and it was there that I promised myself a BIG trip – to take on the world. After university, I moved back to Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia and then out to different countries after securing a job with a Japanese chemical company that required extensive traveling. My journey since then continues with my dreams to visit more places and meet more friends.
So here I am, telling you my stories and all that shit. If you have never traveled and wish to know if this world is square (like what ancient travelers once thought), then this blog is YOURS. I’ve taken the last year to plan, save money, learn about the bicycle (can you believe i can’t cycle), and generally get my shit together.
Sometimes I wonder if a trip of this magnitude will get at that itch for travel I’ve been trying to scratch ever since I was a kid. Then I think, “Hey, I wonder what’s over there…”
